Creating and editing role sets

A role set is a collection of authorization sets. Role sets reduce the administrative effort involved in assigning authorization sets to users. Users with the appropriate rights can create new role sets and assign them to users.

Company administrators can assign individual role sets to users in their User profile. See Roles and rights for more information on assigning user rights.

  1. On the User administration page, click the Role sets link.

The Role sets list is displayed.

  2. Click:
    • the New entry button to create a new role set
    • the icon to edit an existing entry

The Role set page is displayed.

  3. Enter a name for the role set and select the company for which the role set is valid.
  4. In the Authorization sets section, select an authorization set from the selection list or click the Add authorization set button to add another authorization set to the role set.
  5. Specify whether company administrators can assign the role set to other users:
    • Never: The role set may not be assigned to other users
    • If for all companies: A company administrator may assign the role set to other users if he is responsible for all companies
    • Always: The role set may be assigned to other users
  6. Click Save.
