Disabling user access

Company administrators can disable a user's access to the system.

  1. On the User administration page, click the Users link.

    The Users list is displayed.

  2. Click the icon next to the user whose access you want to disable.
  3. In the Master data tab, activate the option User disabled in the Properties section.
  4. Click Save.

If the user is currently logged on, he can continue to work with the system. After he has logged off, he will  not be able to log on again.

Tip: Another way to disable access is to enter a Valid till date in the Master data tab of the user profile. The user cannot log on after this date. If you do not expect a user to use the system again, you can delete the user instead. In the user profile, click the Delete button and confirm the deletion. You can delete and set or extend the validity date for several users in the Validity tab of the Users list.
