Defining responsibilities

Responsibilities define which users are responsible for specific control structures (cost centres, cost types, projects), users and basic contracts. Persons responsible may be assigned as approvers to approval rules. Persons responsible are also informed of events that affect the object for which they are responsible. For example, the person responsible for a project may receive a message in his lobby when the project is about to expire.

Note: You can also specify the responsible person when you create the control structures or basic contracts. You can only assign a person responsible for a user on the Responsibility page.

  1. On the User administration page, click the Persons responsible link.

    The Responsiblities list is displayed.

  2. Click:
    • the New entry button to create a new responsibility
    • the icon to edit an existing entry

The Responsibility page is displayed. Select the menu item Help to display detailed information about this page.

  3. Enter or search for the name of company and the user.
  4. Select the type of object for which the user will be responsible and select the specific object from the selection list. For example, select Projects and then the name of the project.
  5. Click Save.
