Produkte verschlüsseln

You can enter product codes for companies you are assigned to as catalog manager or purchaser. The codings can be entered for catalogs, product groups or products. You can find further information about product coding under product coding.

1. On the page Catalog administration, click the link Product coding.

   The page product coding is displayed. Select the menu item Help to display detailed information about this page.

2. Select the company for which you want to set codes.

   All catalogs which are used in the selected company are displayed, also catalogs that have been assigned to user groups of this company. Furthermore, all catalogs are displayed that are assigned  to users of this company directly or via user groups.

3. Click the icon next to the catalog to display product groups and products. For coded objects, the codings are displayed next to the name of the object.
4. To set a code for a product group, click the icon .

   The page Product coding is displayed. Select the menu item Help to display detailed information about this page.

5. Enter the material group and cost type and select, if necessary, the cost unit. Click Save.
6. To set a code for products, click the icon  .
7. The page Product coding is displayed. Select the menu item Help to display detailed information about this page.
8. In the upper section you can search for products. Enter your search criteria and click the button Display results. You can find further information about search under Working with search in the manual General information for all users.
9. Activate the checkbox next to the products you want to encode and enter the codings into the corresponding fields above the product list.

Note: Before you can use codings, you have to create a default setting.
