Creating and editing addresses

Company administrators who are assigned to a specific company can only edit the following addresses:

  1. Select the menu Control center.
  2. Click the Company Administration or User Administration link.
  3. Click the Addresses link.

    The Addresses list is displayed. Select the menu item Help to displayed detailed information about this page.

  4. Click:
    • the New entry button to create a new address
    • to edit an existing address
    • or to copy an existing address
  5. Fill in the fields on the Address data tab. Select the menu item Help to displayed detailed information about the fields.

    Note: When editing an address, if you make changes in essential fields, such as the street name, the original address is deleted and a copy of the address with the changed details is created. Company administrators do not see deleted addresses, but users with the authorization set Superuser can view and reactivate deleted addresses if necessary.

  6. Click the Attributes tab and activate the appropriate check boxes to define the attributes for the address. See Address types for more information about address attributes.
  7. By default, the address is only available for use by the companies that you assign in the Companies and users tab. If the address should also be available to subsidiary companies of the assigned companies, deactivate the No Inheritance check box. See Company hierarchy for more information about inheritance.
  8. Click the Companies and users tab.  Select the menu item Help to displayed detailed information about this tab. In the Available lists, select the companies and users that should be able to use the address and click to assign them. See Assignment lists for more information on assigning items.
  9. To ensure that the address can only be edited by company administrators of a specific company, in the Address company field, enter or search for the name of the company.

    Note: If you enter a company to which you are not assigned as company administrator, you will not be able to edit the address after saving it. If you have also not assigned the company for which you are company administrator to the address, it will not be displayed in the Addresses list.

  10. Click Save or Save copy.
